Dr Osman Najam 

Dr Najam is a consultant interventional cardiologist with a PhD in cardiovascular science from UCL. He has extensive NHS experience in treating patients with coronary artery disease and complex heart conditions. Alongside his clinical work, he is committed to research, innovation, and developing digital health solutions to improve cardiovascular care.

Dr Najam studied medicine at the University of Manchester, where he developed an early interest in cardiovascular research and completed an intercalated Master of Research (MRes). He was awarded a highly competitive Academic Clinical Fellowship (ACF) in Cardiology in London, combining clinical training with academic work, and went on to complete a PhD at the UCL Hatter Cardiovascular Institute. His research has been published widely, including in high-impact journals such as Nature, and has contributed to advancing understanding of mechanisms underlying heart disease. He undertook his specialist cardiology training across leading London teaching hospitals, gaining extensive experience in the management of complex cardiac conditions and developing expertise in interventional cardiology. He is now a consultant interventional cardiologist at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Alongside his clinical practice, Osman remains committed to innovation and digital health, co-founding Stopford Healthcare to bridge frontline patient care with technology-driven solutions that improve outcomes and make cardiology more accessible.
